Ana’s Visit to the Doctor
Characters:
Dr. Martinez
Ana, 23 years old, student
Setting: Doctor’s Office
Dr. Martinez: Good morning, Ana. What brings you here today?
Ana: Good morning, doctor. I've been having a terrible headache for the last five days, and it just won’t go away.
Dr. Martinez: I’m sorry to hear that. Can you describe the pain? Is it sharp, dull, or throbbing?
Ana: It's a throbbing pain, mostly on the right side of my head. Sometimes it gets worse when I’m exposed to light or noise.
Dr. Martinez: I see. Do you have any other symptoms? Fever, nausea, blurred vision?
Ana: Yes, I’ve felt a bit nauseous, and I had blurred vision yesterday.
Dr. Martinez: Have you had any recent stress or lack of sleep?
Ana: Yes, I’ve been very stressed with university exams, and I haven’t slept well in the past week.
Dr. Martinez: It sounds like a migraine, possibly triggered by st
ress and lack of rest. I’ll prescribe some medication to relieve the pain and help you relax. You should also try to reduce screen time and rest more.
Dr. Martinez: Yes, try to stay hydrated, follow a regular sleep schedule, and manage stress with relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation. If the symptoms persist, come back for a neurological check-up.
Ana: I will. Thank you so much!
Dr. Martinez: You’re welcome, Ana. Take care and feel better soon!
